Some important information
Us, Ruth and René, born-and-bred in the world famous city of Basel have been living on the pacific coast in Nosara for nearly two decades now. We share our lives with a variety of wild animals and birds on 1.2 square hectares. A highlight for all tourists to experience flora and fauna so close.
Our comfortable rooms are equipped with ventilators. We have deliberately decided against air conditioning, as the huge trees on the estate keep the rooms shady and the temperature pleasant.

Do enjoy our whirlpool amidst the jungle directly in front of the rooms heated with sun energy and keep fit in the only swimming pool in Nosara (12m x 6m with a depth of 1.5 to 1.8m).
In our family restaurant ‘El Pelicano‘ you can enjoy the most delicate dishes, and we are the only place in Nosara which serve Swiss bread for breakfast.
Our ‚Pirate Bar‘ is situated just 200m from the beach. During the drought we serve barbecued meat-dishes and a lot of other culinary highlights; there are also fruit juices, mixed drinks, beer and mineral water available. And in the newly-built ‘Rancho’ you can play table tennis.
The protected area of the ‚Pelada Beach‘ (Refugio Ostional) is just 200 metres away. Because of the rocks this beach is not suitable for surfing.
We highly recommend our optional tours. Enjoy your holidays: the natural beaches, swimming in the sea, beach walking or just lazing around. Enjoy the whirlpool and fitness-wellness pool, the food in the ‘El Pelicano’ restaurant and the barbecue at the ‘Pirate Bar’.
